How Measure J Will Be Used?
Measure J is designed to address the most pressing needs across Snowline JUSD schools. If passed, the bond will be used to:
Enhance Technology for 21st Century Learning: To prepare students for future success, we need to invest in up-to-date technology and infrastructure. Measure J will fund technology improvements, such as new computer labs, enhanced Wi-Fi access, and interactive classroom tools to support modern teaching methods.
Repair and Modernize Aging Classrooms and Facilities: Many of our schools were built decades ago and require significant upgrades to meet modern educational standards. Measure J will fund essential repairs, such as fixing leaky roofs, replacing outdated electrical and plumbing systems, and upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Improve School Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety of our students is a top priority. The bond will support the installation of modern security systems, including updated fire alarms, smoke detectors, and secure entryways. It will also address emergency preparedness upgrades.
Upgrade Science Labs, Libraries, and Career Technical Learning Spaces: Our students need access to modern learning environments. Measure J will provide funding to update science labs, libraries, and vocational education spaces to ensure students have hands-on, real-world learning opportunities.
Build and Expand School Facilities: To accommodate growing student populations and reduce overcrowding, Measure J will support the construction of additional classrooms and new facilities where needed.
